4th Grade
Greetings from 4th Grade
My, how we are busy learning. We
have just finished our study on North Carolina History
and truly there was a lot to learn. We visited many
historical sites such as: Bath, Tryon Palace, Charles B.
Aycock Birthplace and Raleigh during our study. Those
field trips were fun yet educational. It helped N. C.
History come alive. Thank goodness our North Carolina
Notebook is completed.
Now, we will begin concentrating on
reading several books for book reports. Math has been
great! We're learning about fractions, 2-digit
divisions, converting measurements and many other
concepts. We've just started our chapter on plants in
Science and we're learning how to identify trees by
their leaves. We've already covered two great chapters
on insects and oceanography.
Our favorite subject is Bible,
though, because we've learned how much God loves us and
what a wonderful world He's created for us to enjoy. We
memorize many Bible verses to help us grow closer to
Him. We also spend time in prayer asking the Lord to
help our family and friends. It's a great way to start
out our day.
Our least favorite subject is
Language. Learning the parts of speech is a big task.
However, we'll try to have them mastered by the year's
end. Thanks for visiting with us.
Mrs. Beatrice Stroud & the 4th
Graders.
