Welcome to Mrs. Arthur's 3rd Grade Class

We have daily lessons in Bible, Reading, Arithmetic, Language, Science, History, Health, Spelling, and Penmanship.

Bible Goals: To learn more about Samuel, David, and many other Bible heroes. To present the Gospel through the Salvation Series so that each child has an opportunity to accept Jesus as his/her personal Savior.

Reading Goals:  To improve their reading skills and to enjoy reading books.

Arithmetic Goals:  To learn the fundamentals of traditional arithmetic. The greatest emphasis is on mastering the multiplication and division tables.

Language Goals:  To learn the basis of capitalization, punctuation, forming plurals, noun and verb usage, etc. To apply what they are learning to creative writing.

Science Goals:  To introduce each student to the many wonders of God's creation.

History Goals:  To learn about great men and women such as Pocahontas, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Clara Barton, etc.

Health Goals:  To stimulate the student's interest in health as they learn more about the body God has given them and how to care for it.

Spelling Goals:  To provide more words for students to read and spell and to develop an interest in poetry.

Penmanship Goals: To master the cursive writing skills and to learn how to answer questions.
