Below is a brief scope and sequence of our Second Grade Academic Curriculum (First Semester)

BIBLE - In-depth study of Moses, Joshua and the Israelites.

READING - Goals to master reading fluently and with expression

PHONICS/LANGUAGE
(1) Goal-To master consonant/vowel rules and special sounds
(2) ABC order, word division, punctuation marks, contractions, rhyming words, capital letters, use of s and 's, opposites, homonyms

WRITING—Cursive writing of all capital and lower case letters

SCIENCE—Study of plants, energy, force, air, weather, earth, stars planets and earth.

MATH—Three digit carrying and borrowing, money, time, fractions, addition families to 13

SPELLING—Lessons 1-18
